Construction Notes:
This costume was originally made by both myself and Lolita, who had asked me to be Rise for a Persona 4 group she was putting together for ConnectiCon 2011. She picked out all the fabric, modified patterns for the fitted top and skirt and did all the top stitching and embroidery on the blouse. I did the cutting, pleating, and piece sewing and put in all the zippers - assembly line costume making at its' best! In 2019 I revisited this costume; the skirt was still in good shape but the top had been quickly made and could be fit better. By this time, it was easy to get a high qualify Persona 4 uniform online, so I found one and it was very well made, fitting better and being of a thicker, more high qualify fabric than my original. It also had the white turtleneck undershirt I had neglected originally. I added a few additional details, including buttons on the back of the top. I also upgraded the wig and accessories, including snagging a deck of Persona arcana cards. I'd still like to find the official pair of glasses, but they are expensive! This costume is always comfortable and fun to wear.
